Welcome to the Learning-in-Context Research Group.
Our interests are in understanding the contexts and processes that support successful learning in STEM content. Professor Michelle Perry directs this research group. Her interests lie in how young children learn mathematics, how elementary-school teachers learn to improve their mathematics teaching, and how college students who come from groups who are underrepresented in STEM navigate online courses in ways that lead to success in STEM.
We're in the Department of Educational Psychology, in the College of Education, at the University of Illinois.
